How far apart can my trees be to hang my hammock?

the trees are closer, raise the level of the hooks.
How far in the ground must a pole be to support my hammock?
If you choose to use supports to hang your hammock,
4' x 4's are the best. They should be buried about two
feet in ground. Additionally, the poles must be set
in cement.
How high do I need to hang my hammock?
The recommended distance from the ground to the hook
is between 4' to 5'. If the trees are closer, then raise
the hooks accordingly.
How do I clean my hammock?
Rope hammock - mild solution of soap and water in a
bath tub, then air dry. Keep wooden spreaders dry.
Quilted hammock - mild solution of soap and water and
use a scrub brush. Hose off completely, then air dry.
Also, bleach or spot remover can be used for problem
areas.
If my hammock appears too short for the stand, what
do I do?
After verifying that stand and the hammock are compatible;
i.e. deluxe or large hammocks fit 15' stands, single
hammocks fit 11' stands. Hammocks ropes will contract
while in their packaging. Use an extra piece of chain
to stretch the hammock. The hammock will stretch to
its original length once it is used.
How do I disassemble the stand?
To loosen the poles, try twisting the poles or gently
tapping on the joints with a rubber mallet.
